Nearly half of all employees surveyed revealed they had
been subject to yelling and verbal abuse at work, by a fellow employee or
supervisor. A surprising 10 percent said they had suffered physical violence
and feared for their safety at work.Many blame
pressures such as the rising cost of living and particularly rising fuel costs
for this increase in "desk rage" behavior.
When employees get to already work stressed out from
commuting traffic , after having been unable to afford to relax and unwind
even on the weekends or their days off, incidents of "Desk Rage" seem certain
to arise.
